Major Fulham Development Amendments
We have been instructed to secure approval for a number of amendments to a major residential-led mixed-use development in Fulham. Planning permission has been secured for the residential change of use of a former bank premises in Battersea including upper floors, while prior approval has also been given by Canterbury City Council for the demolition of a redundant gasholder structure. An officer recommendation for approval has been secured for the change of use of a residential dwelling in Kew to a daycare nursery following extended political engagements, while planning permission has also been secured on behalf of St. Dunstan’s College for the part conversion of a sports ground pavilion into an equivalent day care nursery in Catford. We have also been instructed to secure approval for a gym and bar in Elephant & Castle.

Residential Enabling Developments
We have been instructed on three major residential enabling developments on surplus school sites in Suffolk to forward fund wider education infrastructure improvements in the county. Planning permission has been secured for two PSBP developments in Surrey and Kent while we have applied for pre-application advice on an exciting proposal to initiate a major refurbishment of a landmark pub in London as part of a wider residential development. An enforcement notice appeal has been lodged against an alleged unauthorised multi-purpose events space operation in East London with a late-night music entertainment element following the Council’s refusal under Section 70c of the TCPA 1990 to decline to determine a related planning application.

Maidstone Data Centre
We have secured planning permission for the second of our six primary school redevelopment schemes in Epsom for Yorkon acting under the EFA’s framework agreement. We have also obtained lawful development certificates for a proposed data centre in Maidstone, secured Council approval for a horse-walking enclosure on an equestrian centre site in the Hertfordshire Green Belt and are now instructed on a major residential enabling developments in Hertfordshire and Kent. In a busy end to the month, planning permission has also now been granted for a high-end 16 unit apartment scheme in Hendon.

The Collective ‘co-living’ housing development
We have been instructed by The Collective to secure planning permission for a unique ‘co-living’ housing development within the LB Ealing which is based on providing affording private sector rented accommodation for young professionals. In a busy month, we have also been instructed by a leading independent school in London to secure permission for a new sports ground, nursery and junior school building and have also submitted an application for the third of our primary school redevelopment schemes under the EFA’s framework agreement in Surrey.
