Former White Bear Public House – Hendon
London Borough of Barnet

Planning permission was secured for the change of use and part-demolition/extension of the former White Bear Public House in Hendon to form 7 flats with basement car parking and related improvements. The site had significant heritage status, having historically consisted of a coaching Inn dating from the Tudor period and we were instructed to formulate a new planning strategy for the site following a succession of Council refusals of planning permission and conservation area consent for alternative forms of residential development. Our involvement also extended to engaging a local historical amenity group to avoid the property being designated as an asset of community value.
