We were appointed directly by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in January 2020 as the planning consultant on this ‘estate regeneration’ scheme working in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team, including PRP Architects LLP as the lead architect. We have led the extensive pre-application engagements undertaken with the Council and Greater London Authority (GLA), which has culminated in a planning application being submitted to the Council in December 2021. The proposed development comprises the demolition of the existing housing blocks and community buildings and provision of 412 residential units and replacement community use in a series of buildings ranging in height from 4-8 storeys with associated facilities. The application is expected to be determined at Council planning committee in March.
