Planning permission was secured in October 2020 for the erection of a two-storey science block (1,575m2 GIA) with external courtyard, replacement car parking and associated car parking in conjunction with the planned increase in the capacity of the school to 5 forms of entry (1,170 children). The instruction was challenging in terms of justifying the merits of a modular building in near proximity to a Grade II listed building, although this was successfully overcome with the benefit of expert heritage consultant advice.
