The application site formed part of a wider regeneration masterplan where the education infrastructure was originally earmarked for an alternative site. The masterplan was amended and reserved matters approval was obtained for a new modular build primary school (including nursery). Issues of development and infrastructure phasing relative to wider planned commitments and design were pivotal to planning assessment. Planning committee resolved unanimously in favour of the officer recommendation.
