We have recently secured planning permission on applications to Ashfield District Council for the first of a major planned UK-wide roll-out of solar energy powered electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure aimed at reducing the increasing Grid dependency of the more traditional pedestal-based installations. The proposed canopy installations would provide 28 charging points in the main car parks serving the Sutton Community Academy in Sutton-in-Ashfield and we are grateful to the Council for openly embracing these exciting plans and acting as the pioneering and enabling decision-making authority in this process.
