We were appointed by Kier and Willmott Dixon to secure planning permission for 8 primary school expansion schemes as part of a major Council investment programme to provide an extra 2,400 school places in the borough ahead of the 2013/14 school year. With some of the sites situated in the Metropolitan Green Belt, it was successfully argued that the acute and objectively assessed education need for those developments constituted the ‘very special circumstances’ needed to outweigh the Green Belt harm.
