This is one of many projects we have successfully completed on the DfE’s MMC (modern methods of construction) framework. Planning permission was secured in June 2021 for the erection of a new Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school (170 places and for children aged between 4-19 years old) with related facilities on a secluded, greenfield site in Norfolk. The site had been allocated for housing and it was necessary to demonstrate through evidenced-based justification that the proposed development would not compromise the local planning authority’s ability to meet its defined 5-year housing land supply targets and furthermore, that the school could be developed without prejudicing the wider housing masterplan earmarked for an adjoining site.
