This was another DfE MMC framework scheme with planning permission granted in December 2021 for the erection of an Alternative Provision Primary Free School (64 places) with associated facilities. The site was allocated for housing in the Local Plan and so the land-use integrity of the proposed development had to be underpinned by an evidence-based assessment demonstrating that the Council’s 5-year housing land supply targets could still be met without recourse to the site allocation. We managed the full planning process from pre-application engagement of the local and decision-making authorities, community consultation, preparation/submission of the application and management to an unanimous planning committee mandate.
